Sakshi Bhagora

Overcoming Loss to Achieve Educational Success and Family Joy Muskan Sansthan has been a beacon of hope for many girls, offering them a nurturing environment and the opportunity to thrive. Among these girls is Sakshi Bhagora, whose story is a remarkable testament to resilience, transformation, and success. Sakshi lost both her parents at a very young age, leaving her and her siblings—an older sister and a younger brother—in the care of their maternal grandparents. Her nana and nani, along with their son and his wife, tried their best to raise the children. However, it was not an easy situation, and soon, Sakshi’s maternal uncle (mama) came across Muskan Sansthan, a home dedicated to providing care and education for orphaned girls. Understanding the opportunities that the sansthan could offer, he brought Sakshi to the orphanage. Initially, Sakshi struggled to adjust. She was introverted, withdrawn, and rarely spoke to anyone. Her traumatic past had deeply affected her, and she found it difficult to express herself or connect with the other children. The compassionate staff at Muskan Sansthan immediately recognized her emotional needs and began working closely with her. Day by day, through consistent counseling and care, Sakshi slowly started to come out of her shell. She began engaging with her peers, playing with other girls, and showing signs of improvement. The breakthrough came when Sakshi developed an interest in studies. The teachers and staff at Muskan Sansthan, through their unwavering dedication, nurtured her interest in education. When Sakshi joined, she didn’t even know how to read or write. However, through consistent guidance and motivation, she not only caught up with her peers but exceeded expectations. In her 8th board exams, she scored an impressive 80%, and by the time she sat for her 10th boards, she achieved 85%—a remarkable feat for someone who had once struggled with basic literacy. Sakshi’s educational journey continued as she completed her 12th grade with flying colors. Encouraged by the team at Muskan Sansthan, she pursued a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) and a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed). Along the way, she got married and built a happy family of her own, a reflection of the secure and supportive upbringing she received at the orphanage. Today, Sakshi is not only living a fulfilling life with her family but is also preparing for the Rajasthan Public Service Examination (RPSE), aspiring to contribute to society as a government officer. Muskan Sansthan transformed Sakshi’s life—from a girl who didn’t know how to read or write to a confident woman preparing for a competitive exam and living a life full of happiness and purpose. Her journey is a shining example of what love, care, and education can achieve, and she stands as an inspiration to many others at Muskan Sansthan.

Narayan Meena

Breaking the Boundaries of Mental Challenges to Achieve Independence Muskan Sansthan, Run a dedicated home for mentally challenged children, has been transforming lives through care, education, and support. One such story of success and hope is that of Narayan Meena, whose journey from isolation to empowerment is a testament to the profound impact of Muskan Sansthan’s mission. The Beginning: A Child in Chains Narayan’s journey began in the most heartbreaking way. When the Muskan Sansthan team first met him, he was tied up with ropes at his home. His family, overwhelmed and unable to manage his aggressive behavior and frequent outbursts, resorted to confining him. Narayan would break things and harm his family members due to his struggles with severe mental challenges and an additional condition—epilepsy (Mirgi). Recognizing the dire need for intervention, Muskan Sansthan took Narayan into their care, offering him food, shelter, and most importantly, a nurturing environment. Initially, he was withdrawn, scared, and spent most of his time sitting in a corner, afraid to interact with anyone. Healing Through Patience and Care The special educator team at Muskan Sansthan knew that healing would take time, but they were committed to his well-being. Through patient counseling and consistent support, Narayan began to open up, first to his caregivers and then to the other children. His educators noticed something remarkable during this time—Narayan showed a keen interest in studying. Although he couldn’t read, he would pick up a newspaper every morning and intently look at it. This was the spark that the Muskan Sansthan team needed to see. They immediately started working with Narayan, using specialized education kits. Slowly, they taught him the Hindi Varnmala (alphabet), and although it took time, Narayan eventually learned to recognize and recite the letters. After mastering the alphabet, he progressed to forming words and then sentences. Academic Triumphs: From Isolation to Education Narayan’s progress was nothing short of remarkable. He was enrolled in school, where his learning continued to flourish. With the unyielding support of the Muskan Sansthan team and the visionary guidance of Sewa Acharyaji, Narayan not only passed his 5th and 8th standard board exams but went on to successfully clear his 10th standard board exams. This achievement stunned everyone—no one, not even his family, had ever thought it possible for Narayan to pass the 10th grade. A Future Full of Promise After completing his education, Muskan Sansthan ensured that Narayan received vocational training, where he demonstrated an eagerness to learn and quickly mastered the skills taught to him. Through Muskan’s placement team, Narayan was eventually able to secure a job at a company. Today, Narayan is living a life of dignity and independence, working, and supporting himself. His gratitude towards Muskan Sansthan is boundless, and both he and his family are deeply thankful for the organization’s life-changing support. Narayan’s journey from being tied up in fear to becoming a self-reliant individual is a powerful example of how love, patience, and education can transform lives. Muskan Sansthan, with its dedicated team and the vision of Sewa Acharyaji, continues to create such stories of hope and success every day. “I owe everything to Muskan Sansthan,”** says Narayan, now a confident and happy young man, forever grateful for the second chance he was given.

Samrat

From Orphaned Child to Proud Electrical Worker In the heart of the marble-rich regions of Rajasthan, where the gleam of marble in homes symbolizes pride and beauty, lies a grim reality for those who work tirelessly to extract it. One such soul was Babulal, a dedicated worker in the marble mines. Every day, he labored without proper protective gear, earning just enough to scrape by, like many others in his village. The tragedy struck when Babulal lost his life due to unsafe working conditions in the mines. His death left behind a family in despair—his wife, uneducated and with no means to support her three children, found herself in a desperate situation. Babulal’s wife, devastated by the loss of her husband and with no source of income, began begging to feed her children. Every passing day seemed darker, and hope seemed to vanish. But fate had something else in store for her family. One day, a kind stranger mentioned *Muskan Sansthan*, an NGO dedicated to supporting orphaned children by providing them with free education, housing, and a pathway to a better future. With the little strength she had left, Babulal’s wife took her three children to Muskan Sansthan. Among them was *Samrat*, a bright but troubled boy who had lost all hope for a better future. His father’s death had shaken him, and without the promise of an education, Samrat’s future seemed bleak. But with the care and dedication of the staff at Muskan Sansthan, Samrat found a new reason to hope. Samrat quickly adapted to the nurturing environment of the orphanage. With the guidance and support of the teachers and staff, he developed a keen interest in studies. Muskan Sansthan not only provided him with education but also instilled in him a sense of confidence and self-worth. As time passed, Samrat excelled in his studies, eventually passing the 10th grade with flying colors. Muskan Sansthan’s commitment didn’t end there. The organization runs its own Industrial Training Institute (ITI), where Samrat was able to enroll and complete his training in electrical work—completely free of cost. With this valuable education, Samrat secured a job with the Gogunda Electricity Department, bringing not only financial stability to his family but also pride. Today, Samrat looks back at his journey with immense gratitude. He knows that if it weren’t for Muskan Sansthan, his life might have taken a very different, tragic turn. He could have ended up as a laborer in the same dangerous mines where his father lost his life, or worse, been forced to beg like his mother once did. But Muskan Sansthan gave him the tools to rewrite his story.“Whatever I am today, it’s because of Muskan Sansthan,” says Samrat with a smile. “They not only gave me an education but a chance to bring a smile back to my family’s faces.”

Jayantilal Rawal

A Child with Multiple Disabilities Becomes a Beacon of Success Muskan Sansthan has always been dedicated to nurturing and empowering children with special needs. One of the most remarkable stories that truly reflects our mission is that of **Jayantilal Rawal**, a child with multiple disabilities who arrived at our home with little hope from his family or community. His journey, from being unable to walk or speak to becoming an independent young man, is a testament to the dedication and care of the Muskan Sansthan team, led by Sewa Acharyaji’s vision. When our team first met Jayantilal, he faced severe challenges. He couldn’t walk, sit properly, or speak, and had no control over his basic bodily functions. His family was deeply distressed, believing that Jayantilal would never be able to live a normal life. Despite these circumstances, Muskan Sansthan welcomed him with open arms, determined to make a difference. The Beginning of ChangeIn the initial days, the difficulties remained. Jayantilal struggled to adjust, but the team at Muskan Sansthan never gave up. Our first focus was on improving his mobility. Every day, our caregivers and therapists would help him with walking exercises. It was a slow process, but after several months of constant encouragement and effort, Jayantilal took his first steps.Simultaneously, we began working on potty training, a significant issue for both Jayantilal and his caregivers. By noting down his patterns and carefully guiding him at the right times, he eventually learned to use the toilet independently. This breakthrough took almost a year, but the persistence of the staff was rewarded with success. Academic ProgressOnce Jayantilal became more physically independent, we shifted our attention to his education. Our special educators recognized his interest in learning, so we introduced him to the **Hindi Varnamala** using specialized teaching kits. Although progress was slow, Jayantilal eventually learned the alphabet, and with time, he began to form words and sentences. This was a huge milestone, and it allowed him to enroll in a formal school. He passed the 5th grade, then the 8th board exams, and remarkably, Jayantilal cleared his 10th board exam. With the ongoing support of Muskan Sansthan, he continued his education and successfully passed the 12th board exam—a feat that no one in his family or village had ever imagined. Vocational Training and EmploymentAfter completing his 12th grade, Muskan Sansthan provided Jayantilal with vocational training. He displayed an excellent aptitude for learning practical skills, and with the guidance of our educators, he mastered his training program. Muskan Sansthan’s placement team helped him secure a job in a company, where he is now thriving. A New Life, A New BeginningToday, Jayantilal is living a happy and independent life, something his family had never thought possible. He attributes his transformation to the care, support, and dedication of Muskan Sansthan. His family and the entire village now stand in awe of his accomplishments and are eternally grateful to the team that believed in him when no one else did.

Vikesh Medat

From Hardship to Empowerment Through Muskan Sansthan At Muskan Sansthan, we strive to uplift vulnerable children and provide them with the care and opportunities they deserve. One such heartwarming story is of Vikesh Medat, a young boy whose life was filled with hardship, but through determination, love, and support, he found his path to success. Vikesh came to Muskan Sansthan’s Boys’ Orphanage after enduring a deeply traumatic childhood. His mother was mentally disabled and one day, she disappeared without a trace. His father, an alcoholic, subjected him to abuse and forced him into child labor to support his addiction. Vikesh’s life was marked by fear, loneliness, and an uncertain future. One day, Muskan Sansthan received a call on its child helpline about a young boy in need of protection. Our dedicated team immediately responded, and upon reaching Vikesh’s village, we rescued him from his dire situation.  At first, Vikesh was terrified and refused to speak or interact with anyone. His trauma had silenced him, and he carried the burden of his past. Our team of counselors worked patiently with Vikesh, offering him daily support and guidance. Slowly but surely, Vikesh began to open up. He started talking, playing with other children, and showing signs of recovery. It was a beautiful transformation to witness—a young boy who had once been burdened with fear now smiled and found joy in simple things. Recognizing that Vikesh had a natural curiosity, we supported him in his education, and he completed his 12th-grade exam with our help. However, Vikesh’s interests were not in traditional academics. He showed a deep passion for hair cutting and wanted to pursue a career as a barber. Understanding his unique talents and desires, Muskan Sansthan arranged for professional training in salon management for him. After completing his training, we helped Vikesh set up his own salon in his village. Today, he is a well-known and respected barber in his community, running a successful business and earning a stable livelihood. Vikesh has not only transformed his life but also reunified with his family, living a happy and fulfilling life. Vikesh often expresses his gratitude to Muskan Sansthan, crediting the organization for the love, care, and opportunities that allowed him to break free from his difficult past. His journey from a fearful child to a successful entrepreneur is a shining example of the power of compassion and support.

Lila Katara

From Despair to Independence with the Support of Muskan Sansthan At Muskan Sansthan, we strive to change lives, uplift women, and empower them to take control of their destinies. One such story of hope and transformation is that of Lila Katara, a courageous woman who overcame immense adversity to become self-reliant and independent. Lila was once living a happy life in Dungarpur with her husband and four children. Their household was filled with love and laughter until tragedy struck. Her husband passed away unexpectedly, leaving Lila and her children vulnerable. What was once a stable and joyful life quickly became a nightmare. Blamed by her in-laws for her husband’s death, they accused her of being a “witch” and subjected her to relentless abuse—both physical and emotional. Starving and battered, Lila endured unimaginable suffering. Her in-laws refused to provide food for her and her children, and they were left in dire conditions. Despite the abuse, Lila had no place to go and felt trapped. One day, she was violently thrown out of the house along with her children, with nowhere to turn. In the district of Dungarpur, there is a saying: “One who has no one, has Muskan Sansthan.” With nowhere else to go, someone told Lila about Muskan Sansthan’s Women’s Home, and she sought refuge with us. When Lila and her children arrived, they were in desperate need of care. Lila hadn’t eaten in five days, and her children were severely malnourished. Our team provided them with food immediately, and Lila devoured it as though she hadn’t seen a meal in weeks. We then gave her and her children clean clothes and a safe space to recover. But more importantly, we offered her hope. For many days, Lila cried, overwhelmed by the trauma she had endured and fearful for her future. She wouldn’t speak, consumed by the worry of how she would care for her children. Our team patiently counseled her, reassuring her that Muskan Sansthan would stand by her and her children every step of the way.The first priority was to get her children back on track. We enrolled them in school and ensured they began their education, while Lila slowly started to heal. As she gained her strength back, Lila showed an interest in stitching, and we helped her enroll in our tailoring course. Lila poured her heart into learning the skill. Her dedication and determination were clear from the start, and she completed the course with flying colors. When the time came, Lila approached us with a desire to open her own tailoring shop. Believing in her vision and her potential, we helped her set up her store.Today, Lila runs her own successful tailoring business, providing for her children and living a life of dignity and pride. No longer dependent on anyone, she has become an example of strength and resilience.Lila’s story is a testament to the power of support and empowerment. At Muskan Sansthan, we don’t just provide shelter; we offer the tools and encouragement for women like Lila to rebuild their lives and thrive. Her journey from a place of despair to self-sufficiency is what drives us every day. Muskan Sansthan is proud to have been part of Lila’s journey, transforming her into an independent woman who now lives life on her own terms.
